Viote to extend the conservation area to include the Aston Martin site
An exhibition now being staged at Newport Pagnell Library is publicising the forthcoming Newport Pagnell Conservation Area Review. At this early stage we are looking for the views and opinions of people who live or work in the town and what they value most about it. We are thinking about extending the conservation area to include the former Aston Martin works buildings that still stand in Tickford End and the Victorian terraced streets behind the High Street at the western end of the town. Stronger planning controls for the unlisted buildings in the conservation area are also being considered.
Anyone who wants to express an opinion about this or just learn a little more about the Newport Pagnell conservation area is invited to have a look at the display and fill out the questionnaire which we have provided. Taking part will help us to write a better consultation document for the conservation area review. Anyone who misses the exhibition will still have a chance to comment when the consultation draft is published later this year.
The exhibition runs from the 3rd to 27th June.
